Pittsburgh Magazine’s 40 under 40 list for 2024 includes 14 Pitt people, among them five from the School of Medicine.
Each year, the magazine receives hundreds of nominations for the awards honoring young leaders in the Greater Pittsburgh region. A panel of judges selects the winners based on professional accomplishments, demonstrated leadership and community contributions.
They will be honored at a celebration on Nov. 15 at the Rivers Casino Event Center.
The School of Medicine faculty members are:
- Orquidia Torres, assistant professor of pediatrics and director of the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship, School of Medicine
- Eloho Ufomata, associate professor and assistant dean for equity and justice, School of Medicine
- Leonard Weiss, associate professor of emergency medicine
The alumni are:
- Blessy Bellamy (A&S ’15, MED ’18)
- Ruchika Vij (MED ’15)
